I messed up the obituary, he was not survived by a sister. But otherwise it does a decent job with so few words. I spoke at length at the memorial service, like I did at Mom’s. Probably too long but how do you put it all into something you can convey quickly? I am sure I went too long at the service and I just kept thinking about all the stuff I left out as soon as it was finished. Like dad’s incredibaly quick way with wordplay. He could come up with incredible puns off the cuff.
My father was a hard worker and loved his family. I hope to do as well with my life.
